community update no 1.

The Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary mails out updates regarding events and community issues to it's members. to get the word out or to become a member e-mail info@afccalgary.org

October 26 there is a Free Rad Show (music for snazzers that have accessibility barriers & their pals) these shows, the brain children of local run-about Ian Gordon, are held especially for encouraging folks who don't go to shows like kyds in group homes, and folks with disabilities, to get into some new music & community. Tell your pals. At Cantos 134 11th ave SE 6:30-9:30 pm

Albertans Advocating for Change Together (AACT) a self advocacy group for folks with disabilities and their allies met this Friday in Red Deer, they're working on lots of important issues & we can't wait to hear what we can do to help support them... http://sasummit.com/

Calgary Arts Authority is working on research to find out the needs of artists in our city. Help them out & have your voice heard: Calgary Arts Development 

The Distress Center's Brown Bag Lunch series is hosting a workshop... Voicing, Volunteering and Voting, on Tuesday October 26th from 12:00 to 1:30 contact Lynda to register
